Digital Helper is a mobile application specifically developed for use on a telephone, intended for people with neuropsychiatric disorders, especially adolescents. At the heart of the application that supports everyday management is a smart calendar that reminds of appointments, tasks and plans and also monitors their implementation, treats them and motivates the user in a comfortable way. You can also put reminders on your calendar about things that are important to you, such as calming down, your own time, or taking medications.The calendar has a Finnish-language user interface with many different color and sound options to choose from. The gameplay is enhanced by fun avatar characters that the user can add and edit to their own profile and thus become more and more motivated to use the app.The user is in full control of his / her assistant, but he / she can, if he / she wishes, give the housing service worker or one of his / her relatives the right to make entries in it. The aim is to increase the freedom of choice of the person in need of support in arranging support and to strengthen independent coping. The main goal of the application is to increase the young persons self-confidence and independent survival through the feedback of success. At the same time, the young persons dependence on another persons help is reduced. A path can be drawn from the goals, moving from one level to another.Digihelppari for everyday management As such or with minor modifications, it can also serve other users, such as mental health rehabilitators and, for example, the daily management of people suffering from memory from epilepsy. Initially, the target group and the group involved in development are young people aged 16-35 and young adults with neuropsychiatric disorders.Once completed, the application will be tested and, if necessary, formulated for other groups of supporters.The development takes place together with the persons belonging to the target group, technology experts, service designers and professionals who know the everyday life of the target group.The main partner in the development project is Turku University of Applied Sciences.
